Here's an idea - we can write in this thread as if it was The Chronicle!

I'll start:

In the Year of Our Lord 2005, there is a wonderful group called the Real Ale Society, led by a drunken fool named Keen Member.

This society likes to drink tons of beer and behave foolishly.

One day, while sampling the delights of Glenrothes and indulging in a hard-fought game of Risk, they encountered a pirate, his wench and a child dressed as a pirate.

Riddle me this, was the child a boy or a girl?

He sleeps 19 hours a day, and eats 5 hours a day. He allows you to pet him, not so much because he likes it, but because he's too lazy to do anything about it.
