Why does no-one post anymore?

Welcome to the RockSoc board, it gets worse here every day... talk about RockSoc, rock music, plain rocks or other silly irrelevant drivel. All are welcome: members & non-members, of the past, present & future.

Why does no-one post anymore?

Postby Cloud on Wed Dec 11, 2002 7:01 pm

Its a little scary how almost everyone who uses this message board has just stopped posting, myself included (apart from this post obviously but im getting worried) In a nutshell - What is going on? Where has everybody gone?

It is very odd

I have nothing to say on this or many other matters just now but seeing as this is a thread about no one posting anymore I thought I'd just say hello.

Hi. And a merry Christmas to you all.

The same could be said bout the chatroom. If everyone who posted on the message boards joined it, it would be packed & much fun would be had by all :)

I wasn't aware I had one but all praise is greatfully accepted. Many thanks, Cloud, my erstwhile sparing partner, occasional CD borrower, fellow obsessive and complete stranger.

Look closely, I think I put a return compliment in there somewhere.

I have a suggestion as to why very few people post here these days:

People are actually working. There are real deadlines looming, and so essays are being written and practicals finished.

Don't worry though - I'm sure that when it comes to exam revision time, the message boards will be booming. It's an age old pattern.

Possibly. Though if I wrote 'porcine' in there anywhere it's more likely to be that.
You'll have to excuse me, I'm ill.

Now, I'm off to dance in Santa's lap and ask him what he wants for Christmas. Play nice kiddies, bysa-bye.

No, Oli! the reason people have stopped posting is that nobody has anything to say! I mean, look at this two here: all they're doing is a subtle form of mental mutual masturbation (try saying that standing upside down with your head in a bucket while the macho king Randy Savage violently fists you with a titanium spiky gauntlet (he'll do it for a tenner)). (are all these brackets really necessary?)
Speaking of masturbation, maybe the real reason no one posts is that they've FINALLY figured out that the interweb is for looking at porn and porn alone.

either that or they have nothing better to do but search for Cure sites & look at pictures of Robert Smith through the years.

it's taken about 3 or more years to realise that The Cure are/were really good & that their early stuff is what should be heard 1st (though perhaps not Boys Don't Cry straight away).

maybe everyone's just dreaming of mince pies so much that they're lost from the outside world & the electronic world too.

Ah, The Cure... Disintegration, Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me, Wish, Pornography, Head On The Door, Seventeen Seconds. Good old Robert Smith.

Still, I think theres another reason why no-one posts anymore

What exactly are you insinuating Cloud? Has she somehow infiltrated the site and is using her evil powers to corrupt us to soft pop? Death befor dishonour, I say.

I blame Margaret. And Spiller. Although he's only really responsible for himself. Margaret is responsible for everything else.

Ok, pay attention, see where i wrote "Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me," well thats an album that The Cure released way back in 1987 or so and Just Like Heaven is i believe number 7 or 8 on that album.

I listed albums my boy, not songs. Listing the Cures best songs would have taken too long.
