Who cares. I thought Rose was dead.

I fear you are confusing Axel Rose with Kurt Cobain, Delts...

To be fair, I think Delts confused "thought" with "hoped". Nevertheless, I did listen to this last night and didn't entirely hate it, although it reminded me a lot of Velvet Revolver (as in, people will go mad for it for a while, then forget Chi Dem ever existed).

To be honest, for several years I did think Rose was dead. He just disappeared.

And I've always preferred Foo's to Nirvana.

Listening to Chinese Democracy now. It was never going to live up to its own hype but taking the album as it is...meh. Nothing special. Few good tracks but nothing instantly mindblowing. Title track, Street of Dreams, Riad, I.R.S. all good.
Aren't you all entitled to your half-arsed musings...You've thought about eternity for 25 minutes and think you've come to some interesting conclusions...My kind have harvested the souls of a million peasants and I couldn't give a ha'penny jizz for your internet assembled philosophy

Foos over Nirvana, yes. But I'm not a massive fan of the Foos either. IMHO overrated as they never release a whole good album - it's always 3 or 4 very good tracks with a lot of filler (please bear in mind I haven't listened to the latest album).

It's the same RM. They've still to have one whole good album. Their eventual greatest hits will be something worth getting though (for those who don't have every album already).
