The Rammstein video to Mein Teil was infinitely better than Amerika. Angels giving head, genius

Been listening to Big Black's Songs About Fucking. Steve Albini is great, we need more people like him in the music industry

there couldn't be another Steve Albini. frankly i like it the way things are. if there were too many oddballs they'd become the norm & that would be dull all round.

Albini's work sure does rock though.

Ditto here, but so far they've only announced their German and mainland European dates. I'm really hoping they'll play Glasgow again, they were fantastic last time I saw them!

new discovery...

Good news for people who love bad news by Modest Mouse is a bit bi-polar, and can sound like two different bands jumbled together, but it's a cracking album with some quality songs.

Cap N Jazz are fantastic! I would also incluse Bluetip. For some reason I'm listening to The Jam at the moment. That's Entertainment is a superb song...

Thought I'd revive this thread by mentioning the mighty Mastodon. Not exactly new, but after hearing their song "Blood And Thunder" played at Rocksoc they had to be mentioned. Brutally heavy and very technical, one of the best recent heavy metal bands to emerge over the past few years. Their new album's based on Moby Dick!! How cool is that?

Melt Banana - the perfect mix between punk, metal, feedback, noise, high pitched female vocals and japanese sci-fi.
