There's a new SETI@Home-style project running for the Year of Physics thing. It's called Einstein@Home and is part of the search for gravitational waves.

Ive started a team for the University of St Andrews if anyone is interested in joining.

Let your CPU idle time go to good use. Plus, you get a cool screensaver to go with it!

You'd be Mike then? I'm on the team as "don". You should add a picture of the university to the team profile.

Any picture of a notable St.A's building will do. Sallies quad, St Mary's, the castle, cathedral etc. Or the view of the town facing the 18th and Hamilton.

Hello there. That's a good idea. Didn't see the point when it was just me, but now we can show pride on our fine academic institution. Got any particular image in mind?

Wow. 609th now. We're positively rocketing up the table. We'll soon overtake Winnetka Elementary School! That'll make my day.

I would join up, but I've been running seti@home since 1999/2000 ish. It seems silly to jump ship when I'm so close to finding them!

I suppose I could pledge alleigance to a St Andrews SETI team though. Best go and check it out:o)
