Damn that clock

Postby iab2 on Wed Dec 14, 2005 3:01 am

My computers clock keeps racing ahead of real time. At 0300 it was saying 0400ish. It oes this from time to time, and sometimes randomly crashes if left alone. Firefox also has a certain reluctance to work, and I have just installed the latest version.

Any ideas on the problem?

Indeed I have. F-Secure has decided of its own volition not to scan 2 of my 3 boot blocks, no matter how I try to persuade it.

Adware and spyware also conspicuously absent.

F-secure was shockingly bad for my computer last year. I recommend getting AVG Free. Helped rid my computer of a few viruses when I eventually switched.

I have never used F-secure before so I have no idea, but I'd have to agree that AVG > all.

I find Symantec Anti-Virus, although not Norton, to be more than adequate.

I am solving all my pc problems with an upgrade (read total gutting). The problems solved themselves but I know they will be back.
