IIS, XML and ASP

Postby Little Ed on Sat Feb 25, 2006 9:19 pm

I was wondering if someone out there could help me with a problem I am having from trying to make a simple website.

I made an ASP page using JScript that opens an XML file on the same server, modifies it, and then tries to save it.

When it tries to save, I get an "Access Denied" message.

All the help i can find assumes that I am accessing XML on another server which I am not. I think it's something to do with IIS, as I've avoiding configuring it at all.

The object I create when opening the XML is MICROSOFT.FreeThreadedXMLDOM, if that makes any sense to you.

I would be grateful for any help in this subject.

"Do you get an access denied error? It is possible for an account to be
allowed to read a file but not to write it so make sure the account ASP
runs under has write access to the file."

From a forum, a little configuring required I presume..
