Yes, actually, we had two Xbox 360s and a Wii at the gaming event on Saturday, and we've played both of them at various committee meetings and ad-hoc gatherings in the last two weeks. Get thee to IRC (wired.st-and.ac.uk) and poke us and see what you can organise if you want some PS3 gaming.

"Are" there any decent PS3 games. And yes - Burnout Paradise is one. GTAIV comes out in a few months.

They are both multi platform though, right? Are there any good PS3 exclusive titles coming out in the near future? Because I much prefer the 360 controller to the PS3s.

As far as I, a console whore, is concerned there are maybe Resistance and the Final Fantasys, Ninja Gaiden, Uncharted, MGS4. I certainly don't rate Lair or Heavenly Sword

tbh i personally am waiting for:
Tekken 6
Ut 3
Gta
Gran Turismo (epic)
and a bunch of others, i know not all of those im waiting for are exclusive titles but ive always been a delay-station player and i always will be... neither are bad consoles and i know im not the only one that has one
and yeh ill check it out.
at the moment i only have orange box (<3 portal THE CAKE IS A LIE)
Cod 4 (which i want some epic lan for)
Warhawk (which would be good to lan)
and Tony hawks (which is good for two people to piss about on)

oh and maybe Haze depending on how it looks.... ive also heard talk of a time splitters 4 but they have yet to announce a platform and that is in the distant future atm.

I only ask as I have both, and tbh, I only really got the PS3 for the blu ray and since having it (only about a week now), from playing the demos and the game I have, I've not been impressed. I should at least be buying GT and MGS, however I think I'll be getting GTA and other multi platforms games for my 360.

I actually have the ninka Gaiden demo on my Ps3 just now, I just need to install it.......

Halo 3, GoW, CoD4, Forza2, PES (for the 360, played the PS3 demo, and it was choppy), xbox live, the sound and audio quality from Blu Ray movies, the customization on the PS3.

It's not that I'm hard to impress it's more that the Ps3 has a high standard to follow after the 360

The PS3 has the standard, easily. Sony just seem to revel in making it bloody difficult for gamers to enjoy themselves with a £450 (to the best of memory) lauch price tag and £50 games.

But with production costs as of Jan 08 down to $400 per unit and Sony themselves selling the console for £299 (40Gb version) then there really is no excuse for not making quality original titles and not making ones that suck like Lair.
