Talk and EGM - Thursday 30th October

On Thursday the 30th of October at 7.30pm in School I, we will be hosting a talk by Ian McDonald, manager of the Technical and Infrastructure Services group within IT Services.

It is entitled 'ResNet, JANET and the FaTMAN (a romantic tale)' and will give an insight into the structure and operation of the University's computer network and its place in the larger academic networks FaTMAN and JANET.

This is your opportunity to get answers to all those burning questions you have about the network, and hopefully we'll have some of the retired ResNet hardware on show.

Following the talk we will be holding an Extraordinary General Meeting.
