If you bend your degree to your habit, you might be able to beg an exception. For example, if one of your, say, Soc Anth essays was on online communication in virtual worlds, it would be a poor show to bar your access.
I speak partially in jest, but with Universities up and down the country investing in Second Life, and publishing dense treatises on the real and false economies of MMOs, no student with an academic interest in a game should reasonably be denied access.
