Thunderbird 3 and Saintmail

Postby Darkwind on Fri Dec 04, 2009 3:00 pm

Hello
I recently installed Thunderbird 3 RC2 and found to my surprise that it did not work with Saintmail. When I try to log in to my account it throws the error:
Code: Select all
Invalid credentials (Failure)

Login to server imap.gmail.com failed

I then get the option to re-enter my password, cancel or retry. I tried re-entering my password
The password box asked:
Code: Select all
Enter your password for {username}@st-andrews.ac.uk@imap.gmail.com

Upon re-entering the password I am immediately thrown back to the first error. This repeats ad nausium.
This is rather confusing as:
A) Saintmail works fine with TB2
B) I have no problems accessing either my Gmail account or a society Webmail account on TB3.

Any ideas?
C
The above is my opinion and understanding and as such carries no guarantee to its accuracy

you should use the password that you made up when you signed up for saintmail, rather than your normal password.
