I'm sure I've asked this before but posted too drunk to remember....

I'm trying to find a free program that will allow me to record onto the computer and then convert to WAV. format.

Anyone have any suggestions....I'm desperate.

Try CoolEdit, it's a very nice program.

I think there is a free version, but I'm sure you could "aquire" one if there isn't.

CoolEdit Pro is quite good.

if you want to record music as in playing your own music (im guessing this could be the reason) then try cakewalk sonar xl as a very simple program that will let you record, edit and multitrack as well so you can touch stuff up/have 2 guitars/record voice seperately.

I'd recommend GoldWave from http://www.goldwave.com/ . It's free, small and very good.
