Is this some kind of blood initiation ceremony? One of us, one of us, one of us.....

Seriously, this is my first time in halls and I got my invitation today and it looks a little intimidating. Do I have to jump off the roof and trust the Melville masses to catch me and if I scream, you'll let me fall to my doom?
