Hey, i was just wondering how far you can get your car / van to the block on the day we move in. Can we drive up to outside the block or do we have to humph our stuff from a carpark to the block???

thanks alot!

Probably the car park only judging by the last few years - tho some blocks are right by the car park (Scott, Donaldson, Fraser +1 other)!

Just hope you're not in Tulloch coz that's miles away!!!

You have to park in the DRA or Fife Park car parks, so it depends which house you're in. Some are miles from both. Also car parking places dissapear quite quickly, though the car park is bigger this year.

I'm afraid it's humphing for you. We have sneakily got down in the past when we lived in Haig, but they're pretty strick about it now and, especially when halls open up, they won't let you, because then *everyone* would be driving down the paths. It's like the lack of lifts - makes carrying everything you own up a million stairs pretty difficult - but then you only have to do it twice a year and I live in Lindsay on the ground floor, so I don't have to carry anything too far - or up any stairs - yeah me!...Sorry.

Tip - Despite my lack of need to carry anything too far I have found a little foldable trolley (available from DIY stores) is most handy when moving in. There are normally a few trollies made available by the hall in case anyone is really stuck but getting hold of one is hard when so many people are arriving together, so having your own is an advantage.
