Games Competition.

Postby October on Wed Aug 16, 2006 6:19 pm

I want to organise a Fresher’s Week Games Competition.
Who would be interested in a beating the cheese out of others at some computer games?
Games will be:
Street Fighter 2 (PS2)
DBZ Budokai 3 (PS2)
Armored Core 2 (PS2)
Eye Top Play 2 (PS2) –because jumping around has never been so much fun.
Sonic Heroes (PS2) –don’t ask why I have this game I know it’s bad.
Time Splitters (PS2) -because I do want humble Steve
Time Splitters 3 (GC) -Because Steve will want to win.
Soul Caliber 2 (GC)
WORMS Armageddon (PC)
And any others that turn up from now till then?

So who would be interested in signing up?
All Welcome.
Each game will have its own competition.
Yet there will be the over all title of McIntosh GAME LORD, for he/she who wins the most or all competitions.
Other titles will be given out as well,
This is because I’m going to be running game competitions all year, so people will be able to win titles off of others.
Well that’s the plan, at lest.
So who’s up for it?

I'll gladly participate in the Worms Armageddon competition. There needs to be more PC games though...

You got any multi-players then?
I can only offer what I got.
Sinces LANing might not be a goer, Worms is really it for PC games, unless there are others I'm unware of,
I'd also like to see maybe a driveing game added to the list.
But have ago at all of them.

oh fun fun fun!

I didn't spend enough time not doing my degree last year, so i need to make up for it this time around.

multiplayer games i could potentially bring up include, TS3, DBZ 3, Teh Warriors, DoA 2, SC2, Timecrisis 2 (if anyone has another lightgun), red faction 2, Tenchu 3, WWE Smackdown 4, Worms 2, Worms 3D,

Neverwinter nights was also kinda fun over that LAN we had last year. Anyone with the disk fancy a repeat?

Should play some PC games...some strategy games like Age of Empires (been playing AoE 2 last night and it is sooooo good, and no CD-key bullshit cuz its so bloody old!) or some run around fps like quake or something.

Neverwinter nights last year was quite fun but I think that it would have been better if instead of just running around levels we had actually stuck together and done the missions. Lol, never mind!

Or if anyone has an xbox I'd be up for some Halo!

Sinces I have neither xbox or 360,
nor will I ever care to have one, sinces I don't veiw them as a proper console, with any decent games that I can't get for the Playstations.
Sorry but that's my views live with them.
However I would add it to the list of things, if I knew for deff that there would be one, and that it would be up for the comp.
However I won't hold out on it, cause I don't think there will be one.

It was indeed fun. Only trouble is that everyone's done the main campaign before. T'would be better to download a couple of decent modules, or maybe someone could make one.

Please can I come and play?

I can contribute a gamecube, and a couple of Mac games for those of you with real computers.

:P

Also, Unreal Tourney rocks my world.

That is all.

the last time I touched a mac, it didn't really do much computing... or do anything in fact for a while.
Can GameCubes be conected together to give 8 players?
anyway need many more tv's me thinks.

And if your in mac next year I can't see why you won't be able to play.
Ex-ress might be something more tricky tho...

Dammit! I want it to be like in first year... massive games of Quake!!

Been playing AoE a lot this summer... that would be cool... but unfortunately the kind people at IT services have prevented such FUN...

Still, I'd be happy to kick all your asses at any version of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater. ;)

OK, so no compsci's to touch the Macs, that's that problem solved.

Secondly, you can network up to 8 gamecubes, as far as I know, although i've never actually had more than 1 in a room. Just imagine the possibilities though, 32 player Super Smash Brothers Melee!

Finally, I will be in Chattan quite a lot next year, I just might not officially reside there.
