So here it it...

Sat 16th
10.00 - Hall opens for moving in. Please do not try to get in any earlier...
6.15 - Dinner
7.30 - Traditional first night Pub Crawl - all Freshers are mixed up and taken out around town by the older (wiser?) students

Sun 17th
2.00-5.00 - Town Tours - Tour should include local amenities, best pubs etc as well as uni buildings and points of interest.
7.00 - Warden's Talk - COMPULSORY for all residents, including returnings
7.30 - Punch and Pizza
8.00 - Speed meeting - One minute to find out as much about the person opposite as possible before moving onto the next person. Similar to Spped Dating, but you're expected to get a date at the end of it, but you never know how well you might get on with someone...
9.00 - Pub Crawl II - Different pubs, different people...

Mon 18th
3.00 - Subject Chats - Not know what to take for that third class? Want to know when/what matriculation is? Come find us in the Common Room and ask away.
8.00 - Karaoke - at the request of our resident Karaoke lover and Social Convenor Hayley, Hall Karaoke is making a welcome return! There will be punch for that little bit of dutch courage!

Tues 19th
2.00 - DRP Beach Football - DRP are a football team made mostly of Chattanites, past and present, so come and join in the fun and hopefully get picked for the new team. Or, if you fancy yourself as a footballer's wife, come and watch and see if you can snag yourself a footballer!
8.00 - Ghost Tour - So successful last year that we're doing it again. Not for the easily scared!

Wed 20th
3.00 - Beach games - watch this space for more information
7.00 - Freshers' Debate - We have a large Debating contigent in hall, so head along with them for your first taste of the oldest and some say finest debating society of its kind in the world...

Thurs 21st
8.00 - MAIN EVENT: Cocktail Party

Fri 22nd
10am-10pm - Pub Treasure Hunt - Collect a question sheet, answer the questions, get drunk and win prizes!

Sat 23rd
11am - Brunch
1am - Post-Pub Bonfire - Pubs will have closed so head down to Castle Sands for a bonfire and marshmallows

Sun 24th
1.30 - Hall Committee Elections - Perfect place to start your quest for world domination... List of positions will be up in hall through out the week.
8.00 - Movie Night - Chill out before classes start...

This will be updated with more information soon.

Anyone wanting to help out at any of these events, please email me or facebook me to let know. obviously we'll need people to help freshers move in and take out groups on the pub crawls.

Glad to see such a positive response! but i have a VERY important change to the line-up:

the COMPULSORY warden's meeting will be on the Sunday night, not the Saturday. So those two days will run as follows:

nope - the vidoes will be chosen earlier than that jono. we just haven't chosen them yet... the entertainments rep will get to chose the vidoes for the first time on the sunday of week 1.

Small note. Don't want to detract from the good line-up our committee have put together, but I feel obliged as Chattan's resident DJ to point some of our noobies in the direction of the traditional Rocksoc gathering on Thursday. 8pm-1am... awesome music, lots of drunkeness and above all good old fashioned rock and roll fun.

You may want to make a stop at the Cocktail Party just to get things 'warmed up' though.
