this hall!

Postby J on Wed Sep 08, 2004 6:35 pm

today got my letter of accomodation: was relieved it was a nice-looking hall like mcintosh that has a reputation of having 'hall spirit' or whatever,
is it really a v.friendly hall?

also: what are the rooms like (any information about rooms with 3 ppl in them, triple rooms, would be greatly appreciated as i have fond out im in one of them.)

does this hall have any random traditions like some of the others?

any information regarding this hall will be welcomed with open arms :P

thankssss
J
p.s anyone else staying in a triple room?

you can bring your own bedding if you want; it's just that you don't need to.

most of the bathrooms are alright, some of them can get quite cold, but they're fine enough, and generally kept nice and clean by our lovely cleaners.

Does this mean we've lost a common room?

It means you've lost the c-floor study room again.

unless they've decided to put 3 people in some of the larger rooms like C24 -but they never have before so why they would this year.....i don't know.

I believe its the c-floor study room.

It'll be temporary accommodation until the c-floor warden's flat has been converted to three new rooms.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! You're stuck in the room I ended up in at the start of last term!

Seriously though, it's really not as bad as you might think. It is a huge room, plenty space for 3 people and beds and furniture, with a bathroom just outside the door, as well as a toilet/shower block just along the corridor. You shouldn't be in there for too long anyway - I moved into my spiffy new room on E floor mid Ocotber. And your room will be lovely and shiny and new. I was so chuffed with mine. Plus, you should get a discount for the 'inconvenience' =0D

Oh, and it's great for nosing at all the people walking down Hope Street!

Enjoy it!
