i (as one of the d-floor fire wardens) have received a list of people on d-floor, so i guess you're right: there prob will be a drill, but i don't know when.

Very clever.

Does anyone else agree that it is by far the most irritating alarm on the planet?

No, DRH's was worse, and you'll have to take my word for that if you haven't heard it, seeing as it doesn't exist anymore. My School's one was awful too, it was just one continual, annoying and deafening note.

main hall had it last night too, must have been at different times though as i commented on the fact that 'those lucky buggers' in the annexe didn't have a fire alarm. i stand corrected.

i'm very tired now.

No I think this alarm is alot worse than DRH's. And at least DRH tested the fire alarm at a semi reasonable hour(7).

Is that what that arsehole jan was going on about at lunch today? I thought he was just being his usual arrogant twatish self. Prat.

i didn't hear Jan's speech but i guess he was annoyed that people ignored the fire alarm and stayed inside. I think he has a point in that one person not going out means we all have to do it again. I know who it was (on my corridor) that missed it this morning and when they next do it I will be making sure they get up!

What is it about the "anonymity" of the internet that makes people say obnoxious things? I personally have never been insulted by Jan, in more than jest. And today, he had a very valid point, as stated by Andrew.

I have this god-awful feeling that it will be happening tomorrow (Thurs) morning, at an earlier hour. However I heard that it could be moved earlier... 3am was the time I heard a whisper of

::prays that it is not so::

Please, please can everyone make it out on time, so we don't have to do the damn thing again, again?

apparently we have to have done a successful fire alarm drill by friday afternoon, and since there wasn't one last night i'm inclined to suspect there will be one tomorrow. and i'm going to have a hangover...
