It annoys me when people say "well, my vote won't really count, why bother voting?" when looking at the results for SSC Equal Oppertunities and Welfare officer you can see how close it was.

just to add to that - in years past, some people (myself included) have won thanks to one vote, so yes - your vote DOES count!

Indeed, once it looked as thought the Senior Elections Officer might have to use her casting vote for a Sabbatical post until a recount put one of the candidates ahead by a couple.

Louise's election for Socs Officer did need the casting vote.
What a weird election that particular post was. Every count came up with something different.

They only needed to use the casting vote because the Senior Elections Officer did-not know how to work out Quota.

I dont know all the figures for each round but I know that in the final round it was

D'Ardenne: 743
Byrne: 600

Tom led by about 150 in every round...maybe if you facebook Arabella or Beth they mite be as kind as to post the results...
