Cheese grater, corkscrew, tin opener, bottle opener. You may laugh, but it's the most vital thing EVER. I wish I'd brought a cheese grater...

Do I need a duvet cover?

Anyone in DRA bring duvet covers as I never got provided with them. Plus, if it isnt on your accomodation confirmation (which it wasn't for me) all beds in DRA are doubles, so don't even think of bringing singles.

For whoever recommended a little medicine box great idea. I can guarantee you all now, that come freshers week you'll all get panelled, hungover and will not want to traipse to Boots to get aspirin the next day!

A corkscrew is indeed vital.

Best thing to make sure you have on the first night is a few bottles of wine; crack it open with your room-mate and neighbours and get to know eachother the good-old-fashioned way.
