Parent-finding?

Postby Luser on Tue Oct 16, 2007 8:27 am

I'm an orphan *wails sadly*

Oh well.

Lonely is me.

How did the rest of you find your parents?

Actually, I'm a prospective mum to anyone I can find but I have no idea how to find children.

Any first-years out there? I'm willing to adopt and I have some fab ideas for Raisin Weekend costumes, honest.

I think most people find family in halls, through sports teams or through societies (my kids are Rocksoc-ers).

I think it's better that way if you want to actually make friends rather than just get pissed with someone for a weekend and never see one another again.

I didn't. I'm second year and still an orphan :( Missing Raisin Weekend wasn't so bad...I try not to be too bitter. Advice: ask the first 2nd/3rd year you meet, then get to know them. You can always estrange them later.

You can't adopt kids in 2nd year. That's why I 'divorced' Andy, remember?

Or if you are happy to be thrown off the pier by all your kids after a nice meal, in full dress.

Doesn't the Union hold an 'Orphans Bop' anymore to help those students without parents find them?

Well, I'm pretty sure there was one last year - whether it was advertised well or not is perhaps a different matter.
