Venue One Measurements

Postby womble chris on Sat Jul 09, 2005 5:40 pm

Hi

Just wondering if anyone knew the measurements of Venue 1 in metres of actual space (not including the raised bit on the left as you walk in of the bar area, just the rectangular area where people dance).

cheers

Bigger than Venue 2, smaller than West Sands.

from http://www.escapetotranquillity.com/conference.asp?ID=9

The hall is 20 x 20m, giving our largest flat floor area of 400 sq. m. but it normally has a three metre wide section on the left side occupied by a raised, informal seating area and a similar section, not raised, which is four metres wide, on the right side. It has a stage with advanced sound and lighting systems as it is used for student discos and entertainment. Its maximum standing capacity is 1,000 and it can be converted into a fully seated venue for 450 with raked seating or an informal dining venue for 350

Or if this helps:

http://www.st-andrews.ac.uk/~ents/image ... 20Plan.jpg

The scale only makes sence if printed out on A3, so not much use here, but the big squares are about 8 foot square, so room just over 20m x 20m, as the previous person said. So actually not much point really posting, but thought a map might help?

You really are a bastard sometimes Oli, and I'm sure you just did that to annoy me. It's quite sad that I get a bit annoyed at losing the game, but never mind...
