Personally, I think London is the best of the lot. However, Edinburgh or Glasgow may be better for an LGBTsoc outing due to distance & cost factors and are both excellent places to go 'out'.

To attract as many people as possible I would vote Glasgow, purely because the costs, size and distance of other locations may put people off, especially if they've not been before. And Edinburgh is probably a tad too close.

Realistically I'd say either Glasgow or Edinburgh. I've never been clubbing in Glasgow, but I know Edinburgh's great fun :D Had many a good night there. If manageable, London and Manchester would be fab, but I really don't see them happening...

Glasgow - in mine own opinion - is dull dull dull if we're talking scene. Also, littered with a few *ahem* errors of judgement.

I'd be up for London - LGBT History month and all that, we could make a weekend of it and get us some culture going?

***Edit: why don't we think outside the box. Newcastle? Who KNOWS what could be found there?

Newcastle is so much fun! Powerhouse has reopened as Digital and has some cool nights and some cheesy nights. As far as I'm aware, they still open the door between there and the bar next door (Zinc) so you can go between the two for a bigger variety of music.
And Twist and Bank and The Dog (great karaoke) and Switch and Heavens Above (my fave bar). Oh I miss home!

Come to Manchester! It's only £4 on the Magic bus! And there's probably enough ex-St Andrews people living here that everyone would have a place to stay.

Otherwise, you should always choose Glasgow over Edinburgh. Because Edinburgh is crap.

Newcastle is actually a great night out - especially now the new Powerhouse is open.

Edinburgh, CC Blooms - worst...club...ever. And NO amount of gin will change that.

Let's of course not forget that clubbing trip when a certain member got so leathered on cans of Tennents super on the bus-ride to the club that we had to stop the minibus every ten minutes so he could take a leak. And on the way back, vomiting all down the side of the minibus and his shirt.

Classy.

CC's aint that bad Kenny! ;) Although, if you do want an alternative to CC's, Vibe and Blaze, held at eGo every Tuesday nights and Friday nights respectively are really good...Vibe more so than Blaze I'd say. Blaze isn't available on the 2nd Friday of every month though, just the 1st, 3rd, and 4th.

I've been on the scene in Glasgow, Edinburgh, London, Manchester and Newcastle. They're all good, and Birmingham is amazing too.

Grouse let us know when you're back down. We'll probably be going to B'pool sometime soon. Leeds is crap btw.

Manchester is obviously my 'unbiased' choice of a gay trip. We know a lot of the LGBT down here and yes there are lots of former San Andreans down here.

Right folks - I think we should hit referendum rime on this: I see *annother* Dundee trip scheduled, and I think variety is needed soon/before I graduate.
