Which of the family would open a letter addressed to "L. Tollemache-Tollemache"?

Boys - Luke, Samuel or Joshua

Girls - Ruth or Molly

Very Biblical, but nice I think.

I forgot

William for a boy. Definitely. And not for the reason you're thinking everybody.

So it's not because you like the name?

Would have to be Louise for a girl and dunno for a boy, but they'd have Cruickshank as their middle name in respect of my late grandmother

the only one i have in mind is christian. that can be a girl's name too, can't it?

as for the meaning of names, i know that my name means "defender of men." it's a pretty good name to have. if only people could spell it right.
I hold an element of surprise

I would name my children like this -

Daughter 1 - Marcia Rose Constance
Daughter 2 - Elizabeth Lilly Jane
Daughter 3 - Hesper Victoria Grace

Son 1 - Jonathan Charles Alexander
Son 2 - Hector James Marcus
Son 3 - Richard Paul Nicholas

That is because of the way family tradition would mean for me to do so. There are names in the family which I despise, especially my own which is, in full-blown glory Amanda Honor Violet. I hate the Violet part so much. With my surname it just doesn't go!!

Any way this is the ones I like (see above). I want three girls and one boy. Four children would be brilliant but I, honestly dont care what gender they are as long as they are healthy and loved. But four is nice and one boy would be enough!

My surname is Aitken, so it it was a girl the general rule is beginning and ending with A with at least 3 syllables (tho loads of exceptions), such as:

Aaliyah, Allegra, Aria, Alicia...

Haven't found a boys name yet.

I hate children though. Maybe I should give them hideously embarassing names.

girls’ names - Evelyn, Olivia, Marianne, Eden, Vivian, Rebecca
boys’ names - Adam, Jacob, Bernard, William, Arden, Lucas

They’re all fairly classic, only in different ways. The girls names are older, as in early/mid 20th century or before, while the boys names are mostly Biblical, which is odd because I’m not really religious. They just sound nice.

none of our children will be called pob, s.p.i.g, so if you want to call your child pob find someone else to impregnate :P

ps. thanks oli :) it was getting slightly disconcerting all of the amanda posts. people might've started calling me mando. which just wouldn't be me.

I have a friend who wants to call her 2 kids (when she has them, in some long distant future) Bernadette and Oswald. Apologies to anyone out there with those names, but I think that is a cruel plan and would traumatise them, you have to be so careful, they have to live with it their whole lives
