4 bedroom house - available July

Postby va4 on Sat May 28, 2011 12:14 pm

I am currently renting a gorgeous house in Leuchars (about a 10 minute bus ride away from St. Andrews, with buses running every 15 mins). I wasn't meant to be moving out until October, but plans have changed, and I will be working abroad from end of June, so am looking for new tenants.

The house itself is lovely - 3 good size bedrooms upstairs (2 singles, one double), another bedroom downstairs (I'm currently using it as a store room) and another box roomm upstairs which I use as a study. There's a good size lounge downstairs, a massive kitchen (excellent for entertaining!), a toilet and then in the utility room a shower as well. Upstairs has a bathroom with a bath/shower combo.

There's also a patio area out back and a garden for making the most of the summer months.

To top it all off, the rent is really reasonable (just shy of £600 per month) and the landlords are amazing - every time I've had any problem whatsoever they've been round to sort it right away, they keep in touch to make sure I'm doing okay, etc, etc and they mow the lawn for me (one less chore for me to do!).

They're ideally looking for a family to rent the house, but failing that they will settle on up to two postgrads (the house doesn't have an HMO). No undergrads, I'm afraid.

I'm a postgrad and have been renting it with a friend - we've found it excellent as we have a room each, use the downstairs bedroom as a store room, the box room as an office and still have a spare room for when people (friends, relatives, etc) stay over.

The location is excellent - it's dead easy to get to St. Andrews (the rent is also wwaaayyy cheaper!) and you have all the amenities you could want. There's a SPAR shop just across the road, a local butcher, a chinese takeaway and an indian/everything else takeaway, which I highly recommend.

If I wasn't working abroad, you couldn't pry me from this place. I love it.

Anyhow, if you've got any questions, feel free to drop me a line at va4@st-andrews.ac.uk

And I will happily meet with you for coffee to prove I'm not the landlord blowing my own trumpet - just a really, really happy student :)
