One absolutely massive bedroom available to rent in Hepburn Hall from now until June of 2014 for £615 per month inclusive of utilities, parking, and top notch maintenance.
About the flat: I have lived in my flat for a year now, and absolutely loved it. For a variety of reasons, it is safe to say that there is nothing quite like it in St. Andrews. The apartment is extremely large and well-appointed, with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, an eat in kitchen and a combination living/dining area spread across 2000 square feet/186 square meters. Hepburn Hall, the block of flats in which my place is located, is unusual for St. Andrews. It was formerly a hall of residence, but was bought by a private developer and thoroughly renovated in 2005, during which hardwood floors, stainless steel appliances, nice bathrooms, and modern heating/electrics were installed. The unit is on the corner and has three exposures, so I'm pretty sure this apartment gets the most light of anywhere in Scotland. I have already furnished the place and have made it very comfortable, so there is nothing to worry about there. In a town that can be quite bleak and stressful for a variety of reasons, my apartment is a true fortress of comfort.
About me: I am posting at this late stage because my previous flatmate applied to transfer to Columbia University in the US, and was accepted. While I am very happy for him, this leaves me in need of a flatmate. My name is Jackson Berg, and I am a 20 year old guy from New York City who is studying English and is going into third year. At this point beggars can't be choosers, but I ideally want somebody who will study at least occasionally, be responsible, respectful, very clean, and overall fun to live with.
Summary: If you think this flat is for you, then please email me at jab25@st-andrews.ac.uk. I look forward to meeting you, whomever you may be!
