Hello,

I have a question:

I have set up a tesco.com account. How do I get them to deliver stuff to DRA? Do they just deliver to the reception?

It depends who you get...some of them come to the door some of them don't...but they will phone you and tell you to vome down then help carry it up.....

I lived in Lang 6 last year, above Lang 1 ( I think, either 1 or 3 doesn't matter either may, both windows are near the path), and I don't remember anyone, the entire year climbing through their window. I mean yes it is a possibilty if you leave your Kitchen window wide open at 2am when drunkards are coming back from town! But if you don't do that, I'm sure you'll be fine.

I was in Shairp 1 last year (ground floor). We never had trouble with people walking in through the window--unless we invited them, of course.

I was in Shairp 3 2 years ago and all we got was a guy throwing a trolley at our window and PC Dave constantly shining his torch in...though to be fair we did have Conrad smoking joints 24/7

He was the security guard, hence his other moniker 'Security Dave'.

Is there anywhere to see what events might be planned by DRA for freshers, or will I just have to wait and find out for myself?

I think you'll have to wait. I've seen the list though.

Okay, here's what's happening during Freshers' Week in DRA...it's gonna be a good one!!

Sunday - The traditional pub crawl around St Andrews, hitting all the favourites, with a few twists along the way!

Monday - The Welcome Party, a cool theme this year, 'Traffic Lights'! Come dressed in red (if you're taken), amber (if you could be persuaded) or green (if you're up for anything!). Free alcohol, free sweets and lots of getting to know each other!

Tuesday - The infamous BBQs- free food, free alcohol...not to be missed!!

Wednesday - Pub Quiz in the DRA bar, £50 drinks vouchers for the winners!!

Thursday - Another BBQ (if you've recovered from the first!!)

Friday - Pre-bop party!! Come along to DRA bar for some drinks, fun and cool-ass music before hitting the Bop for a Friday night St Andrews style!!

Saturday - Post-Grad Party!! This one is for the Post-Grads, we've called it the 'Alternative Cheese and Wine Party'... Come along to find out why!

Sunday - Okay, so after a week of this, we figured you'd need some rest time, so Sunday night is DVD night in the Nisbet Room...DVD yet to be decided!

Hopefully everyone sees something they like!! For times and places just see the posters- they'll be up everywhere around DRA, and if not, just ask one of us!! See you soon!
