Mao ZeDong - for his conviction, his roots......his very moralityand unnerving leadership, for that is what a great leader is - wisdom and passion

John of Gaunt and his brother-in-law, Geoffrey Chaucer. Though it would be fun to meet Gerald of Wales and ask him if he really believed that the Welsh lost Troy because of their homosexuality.

Sir Stamford Raffles, founder of Singapore in 1819 and a scholar.

Sir Charles Vyner Brooke, third and last White Rajah of Sarawak. Died in poverty in a London bedsit, alone and forgotten.

Benito Mussolini for being so daft. I mean if you are going to fake working late at night, make sure that you don't get seen elsewhere. The light may be on but there is certainly no-body home. Also, syphillus is really not fucking cool and its also helpful to pick a side and stick with with, not suddenly become 'anti-jew' in order to lick German arse and then decide to back the other side because you know you are screwed.

a person who ordered the bombing of the people of iraq as they were seen as subhuman in his eyes: "I am strongly in favor of using poisoned gas against uncivilized tribes". For more about 'the greatest briton of all time', http://www.zmag.org/content/showarticle.cfm?itemID=3930§ionID=15

Although he was right in predicting that people would value him kindly, "History will be kind to me for I intend to write it."

I dont believe we were asked who was the most morally virtuous historical figure, merely the most interesting one. You could perhaps also infer from the statement that he was in favour of using machine guns on strikers that I dont view him in a completely biased perspective.

Sorry it wasn't an attack on you. Although it does look it. No offense intended :D

I think it has to be Wilhelm II of Prussia/Germany. Arguably insane, certainly had lots of issues, was severely repressed, started a World War solely because he fancied himself in military uniform... - absolute legend.

Really? I'd have thought he'd be quite a dull dinner guest. If you've seen water into wine once you've seen at a thousand times. And don't get me started on considering the lily...

Perhaps but it would considerably lower the cost of said party if one of your guests could magic up the booze. Additionally, all you would need to serve is a loaf and some fish and he'd whip up a huge gourmet feast no doubt. Although it's slightly rude to ask the guest to make his own dinner...

Just going by his exploits in Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure, I would have to plump for Napolean Bonaparte.

But seriously, taking over most of Europe, then losing and being exiled to an island, then making a comeback attempt? Fun!
