Ah. Similarities? Perhaps you'd like to hear both sides of an issue before making a judgement.

I'm confused. What issue would that be? I was merely pointing out that I can see the likeness. Just a general opinion:-D

Why don't you tell me what it is.

Hmmm... Stephen Fry, Enoch Powell, Cardinal Beaton, Harold Macmillan, Alan Clark, Graham Hill, Louis de Bernieres, Homer, Alistair Cooke, Erasmus and AJP Taylor.

But ask me again tomorrow and my opinions may have changed.

what could any of the above do to offend you so much that you would cross them off your list overnight?

be a little more forgiving Mr Wilson; a number of them are dead and not as good at RSVPing as they used to be.

I could be wrong, but aren't those the dinner guests that were used in the old "After Eights" advert? I'm certainly pretty sure Marilyn Monroe and Stephen Fry were in it anyway. Can anybody else remember that advert?

Stephen Fry and Marilyn Monroe were certainly in it, but I'd be surprised if someone thought it wise to advertise After Eights by using Gyles Brandreth...
