My ideal man -

- ginger
- geeky
- tall (my average is 6'4")
- non-egoistic
- sense of humour

Can't find anyone that meets all those criteria in st andrews.

Damn.

I have a 9am lecture most days too, and I live in New Hall, while my lectures are in the Gatty Building on the far side of town. But that's why I get up at 7:00am. 1/2 an hour for showering, dressing, putting in contact lenses etc. 1/2 an hour dolling up with makeup, hair etc. 1/2 an hour for strong coffee and breakfast, 15 minutes for checking emails. 15 minutes to hop on my bicycle and race to the lecture, and usually arrive in time for liberal chin-wag before the class starts.

You get up at 7 every day? wow.... Ummmm, you know, if youre trying to look nice for us, well, thankyou. But there [i]are
only 9 guys in our class, so unless you're tring to impress one of them specifically.... why not do all that makeup stuff after the first lecture?
It's before you might meet anyone you might want to impress, but saves you from having to get up at 7 am. Just a thought.

It's not really FOR anyone. It's really for myself. I like looking nice, it makes me feel more comfortable and confident and happy before setting out for the day, and as I'm not one of those characters who effortly looks fabulous, I need to do a bit more than just roll out of bed and shake my head. But that's why I generally look a bit of a mess during exam times. Anyway, you never know when you might meet somebody that you wish you'd looked nicer for. Any if you do always look a mess, then nobody is likely to develope an interest in you.

However, I do have to make up the hours by attempting to go to bed earlier. I always aim for 11:00pm, but unfortunately, I seldome manage it, usually only managing about 12-1:00am. So I'm usually pretty shattered by the end of the week. and when I go out to a party or soemthing, I get tired and want my bed annoyingly early. Especially if I have some alcohol. Just a tiny amount makes me start to snooze in the corner. I've dosed off in nightclubs before.

6'4"?!
WOW. I'd be delighted to find somebody so tall and I'm way taller than you. They surely had to bend over to speak to you. I almost never find guys even the same height as me. I'm usually an inch or so taller. And that's with flat shoes. By the time I've got heels on, I'm miles over. I have been to balls and parties where I'm taller than everybody there, including the guys. Arn't there guys over 5'9" out there?

Yes, I'm one for a start. I could say the same about tall girls, most girls I meet are small. There are quite a lot of tall guys out there looking for tall girls, guess we all go to the wrong parties :)

Oh my word!! I actually know your ideal man, he lives next door to me!!

He's tall (not sure exactly what but definitely over 6"), curly ginger hair which looks great curly and even better straightened (he recently let me experiment), he's really nice (will fetch you ice-cream whenever you need it) funny, and a fairly geeky physics/maths student. And he's single!!

They wouldn't be perfect if you wanted someone tall and they were short.

Ok, now I'm upset. As if I wasn't tall enough for a marriage proposal. And I like redheads! :(
