ahhhh hahahaHAHAHAH AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA

etc.

As a nation, Scotland has the worst drinking related problems of any country. As for regular, hopefully non-destructive social drinking, yes theres lots of it. Lots.

With RockSoc it's done with alcohol, rock music and RANDOM.

The RANDOM is very important!

Anything formal (dances, hall balls, etc.) and you'll have a ceilidh as well.

As for drinking, yes, there's a lot, and as long as you don't steal the B&B signs or "sing" at the top of your voice or decorate your hall with toilet paper, or flood five floors from the top floor bathroom, no-one really cares. People are generally tolerant if you don't drink, but most people do.

If you end up coming here, just wait until Raisin Weekend - then you'll see what a party is REALLY like. 5000 drunk people in one place...

...but then again, that is only my opinion.

Yes, there is a good amount of drinking, but if you don't drink or don't drink very much then most people will respect that. And if they don't then you don't really want to be their friend anyways.

I wouldn't respect you if you didn't drink, but you do so that's ok.

Funny though, I remember large quantities of jelly, and pass the parcel, at my raisin weekend party. ;)
