"crust" makes me think of disgusting puss-y things gone hard around the edges!

The bird with the thorn in its breast, it follows an immutable law. It is driven by it knows not what to impale itself, and die singing. At the very instant that the thorn enters there is no awareness in it of the dying to come; it simply sings and sings until there is not the life left to sing another note. But we, when we put the thorns in our breasts, we know. We know and still we do it. Still we do it.

I don't like the C word (SATC ref: See You Next Tuesday). I only use it in moments of extreme anger and hate. (I can't bring myself to use it now :P)

And I hate the word "nipple". it just grosses me out...

Gotten. There's no such word: the past tense of "get" is "got"! Live with it! Don't start inventing words! Grrrr....

[hr]

...but then again, that is only my opinion.

Of course "gotten" is a word! look in the dictionary

Nipple is a fantastic word!

Though it does sound like it should be a little piece of sugary confectionary.

Haha my gran once asked for a 'nipple' of whisky, rather than a nip!

I can't stand it when people say 'the back of...' before a time, eg 'the back of three'. Just doesn't make any sense to me!

Not so much the word, but how people spell it: definitely...there's no bloody A in it!! I can't even bring myself to spell it with an A.

Mate: I can only imagine that word said with a drunken, manchesterian or gordi accent

Schmusen: originally German, but I hate it equally in both languages!!! Maybe you spell it differently in English though?

To take a leak: It sounds like the person is a leaking cauldron or something.

Regurgitation: Just the word itself is enough to make me feel sick...

Likewise, "Ardvert"

"Seemingly". Not entirely sure why it gets to me, it just does. I think people tend to use it in order to sound intelligent, therefore it sounds stupid when used in the midst of gossip/petty disputes e.g. "well seemingly he's been talking about me behind my back..."

Oh, and while I'm at it - "addicting".
If Jack Bauer was put in a room with Joseph Stalin, Adolf Hitler and Nina Myers and handed a gun with two bullets, he'd shoot Nina twice.

Yeah, I hate those words too. Whoever invented them should be shot.
