It is, according to my diary it is a holiday in the UK, Republic of Ireland, Canada and Australia. However we do not get the day off.

Easter Monday is a bank holiday in the rest of the UK, just not Scotland. I believe. The university will only give us off one Monday this term, so we get 1 May (I think)

I'd rather have all of them off...in England we get Good Friday, Easter Monday, May Day, and Spring bank holiday. Why is Scotland so stingy with its bank holidays?

And I bet the post office/banks etc will all be shut tomorrow

yeh, in england, but not in scotland. However many banks choose to go with the english holidays to make things easier.
