How to do a cv

Postby Nymphomanic on Sun May 14, 2006 11:41 am

I know it's bad to have reached twenty one and nevr to have done a cv but I haven't. i've had a lot of part time jobs, but they were things like waitressing where basically you went in, said you wanted a job and that was it.

Anyway, I'm applying for summer work at a theatre (really want this badly) and have to do a cv. How do I do it, how do I do the covering letter.

Actually quite a few management consultancies have said they like that layout and even McKinsey and Company gave all applicants a sample CV with the same layout.

Nymph - after you've done your CV take it to Careers and ask them to check it out. They gave me such fantastic advice and sometimes they can spot things that you may have missed.

PS: Don't forget that a covering letter is just as important as a CV - so make sure you sharpen up your covering letter writing skills too!

Good Luck!

If management consultancies like it then I would definitely go with something else. They do not have a clue.
