Musfund meets at the Union on Tuesdays at 5:30 I believe. You can recognise us as the people with multiple drinks at an early hour. Look for Paul Everett, "Genghis" Cobb, Paul Wishart, Rosie McLeod, Johanna Crossley-Zells(sp?), or me, Chris Kramlich, if you need to connect faces from facebook and actually want to get involved. In terms of music, I believe Bohemond and Submachine are playing at Aikman's this Thursday and I think Bohemond is playing at the Union on Saturday. The gig at Aikman's is not a MusFund show. I don't know how many events we put on last semester, 5 or 6 I guess. Its not perfect but our goal was a show every 2 weeks or so.
We've had more difficulty getting dates for shows from the Union for this semester, despite bands being willing to come. As a subcommitee of the Union, we can't run events outside of it. Rest assured that shows are still taking place. To some extent, we are broadening our role. While we are most passionate about bringing outside bands to St. Andrews and promoting student bands here, we also issue loans to societies and individuals trying to bring bands or put on productions here, in a fashion a little bit like Mermaids but with less of a focus on theater. We also take care of equipment that we have purchased and are happy to loan(rent? I'm not sure...) it out for events such as bands playing at people's birthdays and the like.
If you have any questions beyond what I just wrote, you should really ask Johanna or Paul Everett, president and former president respectively. I'm a little bit creeped out sometimes by how friendly they are, to be honest(in a good way, of course).
And I apologise for the lack of a website; it is my responsibility and I am apallingly lazy and unmotivated.
Regards,
Chris
