connecting to your university 'my documents'

I know I've asked this before on here, but I need to know again and can't find it anywhere....does anyone know how i connect to my files from outside the university classroom network please?

I'm not sure how you do it in windows but I guess you connect to:

nexus.st-andrews.ac.uk/username

via My Network Places

on a mac:

Finder -> Go -> Connect to Server (Apple-K does the same in Finder)

Then: smb://nexus.st-andrews.ac.uk/username
