Quoting DrAlex from 08:24, 17th Apr 2007 Where are the music and bar events? I thought ever since Vagina Monologues launch party a certain act that came on after Blue Brothers lost the Byre's music license. Can anyone give more information about the grad ball.
How much? Where is it? What's the benefits of getting dinner or not? How is it overall as a ball?
Sorry, but that's just not true When you received your ticket you also were given a list of instructions. If you didn't get one or you've misplaced it please look on the christmas ball facebook group, and you will see the instructions. There are no more tickets on sale- we did have more this year th...
I went to the speech and as I was waiting in queue I saw the protesters. It seemed like there were about 5 of them. But then of course on the news that night they zoomed in to make it look like there was a large protest. Naturally. I thought the speech was lacking. I had one of the headsets, so I wa...
Well, might be a bit biased but the Christmas ball is best. Its only 20 pounds, there's a dj and great live music, you can sit on santa's lap and get a present and then a free drink and then the bar is always union prices. December 10th this year As to the opening ball: i agree with what people are ...
Mermaids- The St Andrews Theatre Fund is having lots of various things going on so be on the lookout. We'll have more concrete times etc as we get them! Wednesday we have a committee Plays for a Pound in Venue 2 - basically a staged reading where you get to watch the Committee make fools of themselv...

I'm American and all my flatmates are British. If you want British friends it's easy to make them. Just don't be part of the groups of Americans who can't seem to seperate.
Quoting flossy from 20:08, 23rd Apr 2006 Would someone be able to post a brief synopsis of the shows on here so I know what to go see? I'm too lazy to find out myself... [hr] Ok, this is really really long... but you asked for it! I've only got brief synopsis of some shows, but people can add more ...
I think your comments on StarFM are spot on. As a student, I wouldn't want to see even 8,000 pounds of union money going to a project that doesn't benefit as many students as it could. I think Preston's comments are off base.
Preston- you keep saying we should invest in StarFM, but I think that most students at this university (I admit I could be completely wrong about this, but I dont think so...) would rather spend 15,000 pounds on something more relevent and useful. Don't get me wrong, radio is a great tool and would ...
i agree that the sheer number of shows this semester is something very exciting, but I do think its important to raise these issues. The fact that most threads about theatre turn into a rant is at least proof that people would like to see more cooperation. At the end of the day, new venues are excit...
Whoa, whoa, whoa- I am offended by anyone saying "there seems to be very little profit making." Mermaids has made a profit this year and the only thing holding us back is the UNION. For example: THE CHRISTMAS BALL, which the union did everything to try and stop happening. Mermaids this year is up in...
