That would mean the degree classifier would be run with and without that module and if there was a difference in the degree classes yo...

Re: student visa issues - late matriculation

Yes, the Government's new Points Based Immigration System is causing lots of problems and delays in students getting visas. At one point they had decided to give student visas for a maximum of 4 years, meaning no international student could take a WIYA or Industrial Placement course, among others.

Re: student visa issues - late matriculation

If you're a new student and you're going to miss more than the first 3 weeks of classes you may need to defer (email admissions@st-and.ac.uk). If you're a returning undergraduate student and you'll miss more than the first 3 weeks of classes then you will need to take a Leave of Absence (email regis...

Re: Gowns

1. But if you were doing a joint honours degree and studied an arts subject + a divinity, or a science + a divinity, what are you allowed to wear? You wear the gown of the Faculty you are a member of, so in general if you were studying for an MA you would wear a red gown, if you were studying for an...

Re: Degree Certificates

When it is scanned the bar code automatically populates your end date on your record depending on your ceremony and saves a LOT of time!

sevenandthedoctor wrote:Whereabouts is this found on the transcript page? I worked out my credit weighted mean is above 16.5 this year, but have not heard anything, though it is my final year if that may make a difference?

Re: joint to single honours?

Speak to your Adviser(s) first. If you need to discuss it further then try the Pro Dean (Advising) of your Faculty. You can make appointments to see them at Old Union Reception. If you'll need an additional semester to meet the requirements for a single honours degree you'll need to ask the Pro Dean...

I think Fife Park looks much nicer than Albany inside and out! At least Fife Park looks like little houses rather than concrete blocks. Fife Park rooms are generally a bit bigger as well (though still small). Albany has the advantage of a common room in every house, but a small kitchen. Fife Park's ...

I queued for about half an hour in 2004 and I only got 2 doubles. And it was cold, muddy, overcrowded and lacking in places to sit. The toilets were few in number and disgusting in quality.
