Re:

Quoting David Bean from 03:25, 27th Oct 2007 To answer the OP, sorry, but you're making a fundamental mistake about the nature of the organisation: you're assuming that 'profits' = good and 'losses' = bad. The Association is, essentially, a co-operative: it's owned by its members, for whom its prof...

I'm thinking the time is ripe for a Prog-Rock Bop. While I have no influence on this matter, as I am merely the Association Chair, I believe that Bonnie, the Directress of services, might be swayed by the sheer ease of marketing the thing. Hear me out, here: The Prog-Rock Bop: Because Bonnie agreed ...

Re:

Might Mr Byrne like to read some of the mountain of paperwork which the Association has produced this year(most of which is online due to our paperless procedures). Once he has, he might realise that myself, Derek and Will have all achieved things this year. As well as the rest of the Association ac...

Well, I'm Magnus Paterson and I'm egotistic enough to stand for Association President.

Just as an aside, it might be worth posting the 100/150 words of canditates up. Seeing as they are technically public knowledge already.

Clarification

Just to clarify. The SRC (Students' Representative Council) has very little to do with the running of the building: you want the SSC (Students' Services Council). I take on board the idea of a suggestions box and think that it could be implemented very easily. However people must realise the practic...

Why don't you come and talk to us

Well, instead of posting on here, or signing a petition. If you want to improve the service provision of the Union. Why not come in and talk to us? The staff at the union, those elected and not, will all take five minutes to listen to your suggestions. Or come along to a meeting of the SSC (Student ...

I assume you mean SSCC

Tintin,
I assume you actually mean the SSCC the Staff Student Consulatative Committee, not the SSC the Student Services Council. The two have very different remits and i would hate to confuse people by missing out a letter.

New LGBT rep

As some of you will undoubtedly know the current LGBT recently resigned from the SRC. The SRC can co-opt rather than elect their replacement. Therefore I open it up to everyone, that if you are interested in standing for this position please contact me (mjp8@st-and.ac.uk). Any questions or queries o...

Well a knife comes out, to stab you for no reason. A lurking assassin with no name (much like those of Chatten). For someone to bravely stand is one thing. For someone to post a personal attack and hide in the shadows while doing it is another. May i suggest that this phantom does instead contact me...
