Re:

As far as I'm aware there are no plans to actually make films - certainly not for the first few years anyway - basically because the department doesn't have the facilities at the moment. I approve wholeheartedly of this development. I disagree with Mr Bean's comment that there aren't enough good fil...

iMovie 2005

Hi. I should probably explain what is happening with iMovie this year, I'll try and keep it brief but there is quite a lot to take in so.... Firstly the guys in the states are running it in two locations - Atlanta and Boston which means the camera couldn't be freed up until the mid-end of April so w...

Re:

The film is incredible! I saw it about three years ago - the script is brilliant, its a very adult film and the performances are exceptional.

Go and see it - really looking forward to a new and shiny version :-)

Clearly not!!!

p.s. "there was no reason for the actions of the major characters" - surely if what you claim is true then the fault lies with homer and not the film which stayed fairly true to the book. What the hell!!! You clearly have no idea what you are talking about - they kill people in the wrong place and t...

Last year and this year

As the host on the left who rambled and was boring I'd like to say one thing - the night was fantastic, the films were excellent and I'm going to defend us by saying that we worked insanely hard this year, no less hard than the "apparently" (God-like John). I'd also like to say that what is the poin...

Re:

Tickets go on sale from tomorrow at the information cottage on North Street (just in front of the Crawford Arts Centre). Price is 3pounds for team members and 5pounds for other people. In answer to the question/comment about Final Cut Pro - the technology is far too difficult to master in a very sho...

Re:

And why do student films HAVE to be experimental and original. Where does it say that if you are a student you HAVE to be experimental and quirky? Is there a law I don't know about?

Re:

Blanche - as you will notice from the email I sent you, I dislike this pigeon-holing of me into a director who is going to do "conventional" mainstream films - do you know me? Do you know my interests? How do you know that I don't have a hundred quirky film ideas in my head at the moment? I wanted t...

Re:

The Intermission was in there because it was too long to fit on one DVD. That was the sole purpose. To those of you who enjoyed the film, I am pleased that I made something worthy of your interest. To those of you who thought the film fell down in places then, likewise, I hope you were able to at le...

Re:

In what sense Haunted? All we are trying to do is improve on what was a very good event last year. You can choose to do it or you can choose not to do it. You won't get marked down for not getting it in and we don't even know whether we're going to do it yet. We're just trying to make it better for ...

Re:

Having never seen "Crimson Rivers" I think that the similarity is completely coincidental. I really don't know what I'll call it but at least you all know what to look out for on the posters :-) Keep coming up with the ideas - it's very helpful to me. Ben - 36 hours of footage to edit and only four ...

Film Synopsis

Whenever we've told people the plot they've looked at us a little strange - I think because it's so far removed from anything that has ever been made by students before... but here goes; The film is a sort-of "conspiracy" thriller set at a fictional University in the South-east of England - though i...
