Re:

Well, The Human Stain by Philip Roth is fairly good, as is A Star Called Henry by Roddy Doyle. And La Symphonie Pastorale by Gide.

Re:

Number 10 by Sue Townsend. Amazingly bad considering she also wrote the Adrian Mole series.

Also:
anything by Ben Elton; pure tosh and
PD James.

Re:

I must say that tonight's dinner was a new awful low, even by Regs standards. I mean, when is pork EVER served with crusty bread? What the fuck was that about?

All we want at mealtimes is:
turkey dinosaurs
smiley faces
anything else that doesn't induce vomit

Re:

This whole thread seems a bit pointless really. I don't know anyhting about the running of the KK club, but if they're raising money for charity it can only be a good thing.

They might not be the most popular group at St Andrews, but even so, it's for a good cause!

Gladly. The Yah is a fascinating creature, densely inhabiting our glorious little sunshine-free resort. He/she is generally thick, yet infuriatingly for the rest of us, able to purchase large quantities of alcohol without the need to withdraw cash, or even having to budget whatsoever for their littl...

St Regulus Hall - any good?

What do people think are the best and worst features of our magnificent hall?

And how would you describe it to someone from a far-off exotic uni?

Re:

No. These people truly take the piss for a living. They have no skill whatsoever in their chosen profession and furthermore, their offices reek to hell. They are unfriendly, malicious, uncaring, untrustworthy and LIARS. Should I ever have the misfortune to have any dealings with them in the future, ...

Food

Every day I wait in line at mealtimes, eagerly trying to anticipate what more gastronomic delights await. Consequently I am now losing the will to live. I would rather blowtorch my own genitalia than eat another Regs meal. Words cannot describe the gut-wrenching, bile-inducing, ass-contracting disgu...
