Quoting stevienicksfan from 13:37, 8th Sep 2008 ...and clearly the best player in the world at the moment, if not of many many years... Sorry to be pedantic (hah) but Nadal has only been ranked number 1 for a few weeks, and before that Federer was regarded as "the best player in years". Surely a bi...

Quoting Bizarre Atheist from 23:19, 9th Jun 2008 I recommend, from repeated personal experience, my greatest invention, the Rum Slammer: 1. Lick ground coffee 2. Neck a shot of DARK rum (can be substituted for a smokey whisky) 3. Eat a square of rich, dark chocolate It's delicious, and infinitely c...

Re:

NI contribution as i remember them were something like 11% of all earnings above a weekly allowance of £91. This is non-refundable regardless of how much your weekly income would be if considered over a whole tax year. BR is emergency tax, and bascially means that you haven't presented a P45 from yo...

Re:

Quoting dunqn from 18:46, 16th Apr 2007 Hordes are extremely easy, it's the bosses that screw me. I can't deal with the last two boss waves - the flying and spawn ones are very difficult to kill. 5 or 6 typhoon towers and a few blizzard towers all based dead centre with a cheap maze to herd them is...

Re:

Esperante at the Bay Hotel is a good choice if you're after a fine dining restaurant. the price and dress code means you're unlikely to be disturbed by other customers too.

Quoting Thalia from 11:42, 19th Feb 2007 I once had a housemate who'd talk so loudly on the phone that i could hear every word of the conversation (this was fife park so it wasn't particularly difficult to do that :-P) or else would play crappy music so loudly that i was ready to kill her at times ...

Quoting SchizophrenicCabbage from 00:57, 2nd Feb 2007 Does anybody know how likely it is that there could have been a basic admin error when entering your exam results into the system i.e. entering a 6 instead of a 16 or literally just entering someone else's mark? i wondered the same thing but in ...

Re:

Well wasn't Waves just extremely... alright. First 3 Qs were easy marks, 4 was a little bit fiddly but 5 could have been much worse.

Oh how i hate not having past exam papers to reassure me... spent a few wasted days worrying about that one.

Re:

lazy indeed!

Numerical notes and tuts can also be taken from the maths/phys library on short loan. the links above is also useful. (thanks!)

Complex Analysis stuff can be found on WebCT, or at least it could be last year and the link is still there on Bell's page.

enjoy!

Quoting spewie from 13:50, 14th Jul 2006 I was just on the phone to the Inland Revenue to try and claim tax back for last summer. They informed me, as long as you earn less than £419 every month, you pay no tax. As soon as it goes above that, it's 10%. As soon as you earn more than £579 it rises to...

To stop paying tax in your current job you need to ask your employer for a P38s to sign, or alternatively download the form, fill it out and hand it to them to save you the trouble of having to talk sense to them. If you sign a P38s whilst still in employment your employer may refund the tax into yo...
