Re:

It'll probably be two forty-five minute sets with a fifteen minute break between so people can get drinks and stretch their legs and such.

But do come, it's going to be a lot of fun! I'm really looking forwards to it. And plus, tonight is the debut of our five new members.

Re:

Rachel, I believe the 'A' means you're in the Annexe, and if you're 2.10, then yes, you'll be on the top floor. And as for room 3.11, it's a really decent room - really big, on the third floor facing towards the sea/golf course. It's got a cupboard in the wall (I think), which is also an added plus....

Re:

Cara, Well...officially you're not supposed to put stuff up on the walls, because apparently having things on your wall is a fire hazard. Which is ridiculous, but they're kind of anal about fire hazards for some reason. That being said, pretty much everyone I know does it. If the Hall staff people e...

I like the kid's section on the page. With it's colourful drawings and straight-talking messiah, it's quite endearing in a 'Buddy Christ' kind of way.

Re:

Hi Mike, I just wrote out this big long post about John Burnet, and then I think I went ahead and deleted it by accident. Whoops. So I'll try again. First off, congrats on getting put in John Burnet, it's an awesome place to live. I'm coming back for my third year, and I can't wait to get back. It's...

Re:

Not to be a bad influence or anything, but you can definitely coast by with just taking out books from the library or, worst case scenario, mooching off your friends. You'll save yourself a fair chunk of change that way.

Re:

I'm not entirely sure of the specifics, but I believe you just have to go to a Mermaids meeting and say you want to put on a play, and they should be able to help you from there. I'm not sure if you need some sort of plan before going to see Mermaids. You might try e-mailing them to find out. I thin...

Re:

I found it pretty interesting, because it was an action movie that, for a change, was let down by its action and propped up by its characters and story. The way they really fleshed out the Batman character and the world he lived in was well done. You really got a feel for Gotham as a city, and the b...

Re:

I believe they're completely redoing first year, so Tragic Form is going as well. Some of the texts apparently are continuing over (I want to say Wuthering Heights for example), but it looks like its going to be a bit better. Thank God for that though, Voice and Vision was awful. If I hadn't started...

For those interested, Hedwig will be playing again this week at Showcase in the Byre - I'm not sure what day though. But for anyone who missed it, I highly recommend it. Brilliant band + brilliant cast
= brilliant.

Re:

Just like to second Midget's thoughts. Being in Flies was some of the most fun I've ever had on a stage. There's just something fun about spears and facepaint.

Thanks to everyone who came and watched the show, it was really wicked seeing so many people in the audience.

Re:

I actually think the idea's pretty sweet. Hopefully it gets more people involved in drama here, cause I remember being pretty intimidated auditioning as a Fresher last year. I've got a couple friends involved in the show, so I'm looking forwards to seeing it. A shame that they have to do it in Venue...

Well, speaking in my official capacity as the Deputy Vice-President of Comedy Sock (I was Vice-President, but got demoted at the AGM meeting for sleeping through a gig), I can honestly say that I have no idea what's going on with Comedy Sock this year. The Sock is, and has always been, the unfortuna...

Re:

Hmm, the eternal hall debate. I'd agree with Midget that Hamilton has the best looking exterior. That striking red look sitting on the end of the Old Course, overlooking the sea. It's hard to beat that. It probably has the best location...good god some of their views must be spectacular. As far as i...

Re:

I saw the production, and liked it. I'm a fan of the play already, so it didn't take a whole lot to win me over, but there were certain elements that I liked quite a lot. The atmosphere of the production was good, particularly with the opening 'festival' stylings, and the shipwreck scene. The actors...
