Re: 60+ students occupy uni building in protest

I haven't posted on this thread before, but I am deeply frustrated and disappointed that the this protest has been allowed to continue for so long. I handed the letter below to College Gate today, and am not afraid to put my name to it (obviously). I have to say I'm especially disappointed in the Un...

Re:

Hey I'm doing the MSc IT course as well - I spoke to Alex Bain in the dept a while ago and he said it is usually mornings, with the occasional afternoon if that helps at all.

Does anyone know when we advise/matriculate yet as well?

I've also lost my keys at the bop - 5 keys on a plain keyring with a chunky yellow plastic thing on it. They weren't handed in - if anyone finds them, please let me know!

Re:

I would certainly agree with the previous poster that reclaiming charges is actually within the spirit of the law. Scots law takes a reparative role; it only seeks to restore the injured party to its position before the contractual breach. Punitive damages, which the bank in effect are charging, are...

Hey just thought I'd mention to you I successfully sued The Governor and Company of the Bank of Scotland for bank charges last summer at Cupar Sheriff Court. I, too, received warnings despite already having a TV licence.

The excuse I received was "your licence currently isn't attached to any particular address". Interesting theory.
