Re:

I've only tried O2 and T-Mobile, but I think T-Mobile is really good for tariffs and for reception in most of the town. I struggle a bit with reception in Fife Park, and in Tesco for some reason. Depending on what you want out of a contract, I recommend the Mix-It contracts as you can't phone from y...

Hi,

I have just moved into Fife Park, after being in Regs in first semester, but I don't know the code for the door to the laundry, so could someone maybe email me the code at jae2, or reply here?

Re:

Many people find rebound doesn't work (there's always exceptions)- if the guy really likes you and you like him, you could explain you've just come out of a relationship and wouldn't mind getting to know him better (go for coffee together or whatever), but aren't ready just wait - he might just wait...

Re:

Quoting from 19:12, 27th Aug 2005 I'm not sure whether to take Frecnh or beginner's Italian. It seems a shame to pack in French after 5 yrs of study and I'm at a reasonably good standard, however I haven't been hearing good things about the department and after having an unapproachable /unencouragi...

Re:

Quoting from 19:37, 24th Aug 2005 What is the French department like? Is it worth taking French for just one or two years? The French department is not the most popular of departments, to be honest. I set out to do French, German and Linguistics in first year; decided that I missed Italian too much...

Re:

I've been with O2 and T-Mobile so far: I wouldn't recommend O2, they messed up my bills, were slow on refunds and couldn't understand the words "end" and "contract" in the same sentence. I'm on the Mix-It 750 plan with T-Mobile now and it really suits me. I get 750 off-peak mins (fine for me, as I o...

May I also suggest that people interested in joining a linguistics society go to the following link (except I couldn't get it to work): http://groups.msn.com/LinguisticsSociety If you join on there, it will also help us keep track of the number of members we have, and we can debate quite freely on t...
