Re: Rose's diction, couldn't help but think she was trying to talk like the doctor, perhaps part of the direction to show her development without him to show the impact he had on her on all things weird n wonderful. Particular lines, not just the words, were delivered very a la David Tennant ("I'm s...

Re:

As a Glaswegian living in Manchester, have been throughly embarrassed over the past 24 hours or so. From when I went into town yesterday afternoon at about lunchtime to when I left at teatime, all I saw were drunken boors - everywhere. Among the many delights to be seen were domestics with both part...

Re:

But is it as bad as actually working in the Village and ending up doing an "alright then ONE drink" after work because you get free entry? Especially when this "one drink" usually leads to you rolling in at 1am (on Monday) missing a shoe, your hair and your dignity? Hrm. [hr] Former SRC Member for S...

I miss mine - not had a beard since I left Ye Olde Town, my dad approved immensely. If I tried one here would be grand disaster as there's about 3 weeks between my two exams... They're also useful for facilitating (as noted) a general air or unkemptness &, perhaps, poverty. This may help support one...

Re:

Regarding the contradictory nature of the Old & New testaments, I read an interestign theory about the existence of 2 Gods in the Christian faith. The God of the Old testament was vengeful & full of wrath but after sending Jesus to Earth, he faded/passed on/quit & Jesus himself became or spawned the...

Quoting LonelyPilgrim from 04:58, 22nd Mar 2007 Essentially, the medics I knew didn't seem capable of conceiving of patients in an empathic manner. To them, patients were an objective problem to be solved and then moved along. [hr] To be fair to them - as a former St Andrean medic, I can't help but...

I reckon you could - I wouldn't worry too much just now. When you hit clinical, they blast you with endless (hilariously basic) skills sessions on how to talk to patients, how to lure relevant info out of them etc etc etc. What's brought this on? Re:

By the time I was in school, both my parents were in FT jobs, and my grandparents watched me for the period between me gettinghome & my 'rentals finishing work. This means I saw my parents (roughly) 5.5 hours less than someone with a stay-at-home guardian. Not really that much overall. Before that (...

Quoting Adam Fellows from 17:31, 29th Jan 2007 At least we're lucky enough that power over criminal law for most of the UK is still held by Westminster - if devolution happens any more then quite frankly we're screwed in some places. On a complete aside, you;ll be glad to know there's a man at Wythenshawe after your own heart: Dr Pericaldi, Vascular doc.
