Re:

I'd reccomend the dental hospital in Dundee. I had really bad tootache and finally went there instead of trying to get an emergency appointment in Fife, which I'd been trying to do for ages, and got seen and fixed up in the space of an hour. If you get the bus to Dundee and get off by the Overgate i...

Re:

I've been trying for months to get an appointment in St Andrews and the closest they can ever give me is Kirkcaldy, but not having a car it's not too great. So I think if it is an emergency Dundee is probably your best option.

How many Dundee Students does it take to screw in a lightbulb?

Ten - one to fit the bulb and nine to petition for the electrification of Dundee.

Fourth year project

I'm having trouble with my project for this year which is really beginning to stress me out. The supervisor I was allocated has been really unhelpful, basically never responding to emails, which means that I keep falling behind, and that I have to turn up to his office in an effort to get him to hel...

Re:

I can vouch for nightline and student support being amazing. Please give them a try. If you find talking to people a bit intimidating nightline also do "e-listening" where you can email them (nline@st-andrews.ac.uk).

Hope you get things sorted.

Dentist.

Got a tooth that should've been checked out a while ago, but not being registered with an NHS dentist I've not had it seen to. Does anyone know if the local dentists will give you an emergency appointment if you're not registered with them, cause its really starting to hurt now!

I don't know anything about that room in particular, but I've heard from a uni official that there has never been a suicide on university property. Though, no idea how reliable a source he was!

Review Essay binding.

Hi, I know the bindery is up past Tom Morris Drive, but I was just wondering; what's the format that we use to take our essays to them? Does it have to be on a CD/memory pen, or do you take a paper copy? Also if you take it as a computer file is it alright just to have it as word document? I heard s...

Party Venues

I need to book a venue somewhere in St Andrews for a 21st. Does anyone know which bars/hotels etc rent out rooms for a reasonable price? Don't need anywhere too big, it's for a maximum of 40/50 people.

Thanks!

Me too. Now I have to decide if I can be bothered staying up and waiting for them to appear or go to sleep and check them when I wake up. Sleep is winning.

May I be the first to say : AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH This is driving me *mad* I don't remember there being this much in the lectures we had. Tomorrow is not going to be fun at all. Possibly worse than 3008! Anyone else ready to line up and knock out Paul after the exam, I'd say Ines...

Just to double check, this exam is just two essay questions right? There aren't any PS3008 style short answer questions?

What do you think are the chances of language acquisition being in the paper tomorrow? I beginning to stress out at the amount of stuff I'm trying to learn, and it'd help to narrow it down a bit!

I don't know, maybe it's just me. She just annoyed me with her moaning about people being late, and banging desks. I found her lectures a bit dull as well. But thanks for letting me know about the exam, clears things up a bit.

EN2002 exam

I know I really should've gone to the last lecture of the semster, but I couldn't bring myself to listen to Barbara Murray. Just wondering if anyone knows what the format of the exam is. Is it the usual section of analysis, then an essay? Also is it on all the texts we've done this semester, or just...

EN1001 Exam

So I know there are two questions in the exam, but I was wondering about the first one. Is it an analysis of a poem/text we've studied during the semester, or is it a randomly selected piece that we haven't studied? If it's a piece we haven't studied it would really help me cut down on the amount of...
