Re: List your all time top 5 favourite computer/video games

After a modicum of thought, I would have to go for: Sonic 2 (Mega Drive) - aah, childhood... Sim Farm (PC) - complete with accurate booklet on planting/harvesting crops (!) Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (Xbox) - because the Prince rules! Quake III Arena (Dreamcast) - such ridiculous characters...

Re: Mysterious Ice Cream Van is Back :)

Friends of ours brought us purchases from the ice-cream van, namely some popcorn and a bag of candyfloss that tasted of stale cigarettes. Which is of course what you would expect to buy from an ice-cream van :?

Re: I've Always Wanted to Tell You This

For some reason I find anyone who buys Ugg boots that don't quite fit intensely grating. Not a day goes by without me seeing at least one person shuffle through town with a lolloping gait as if they're walking on the side of their feet rather than the soles. If you're going to spend £100 plus on sho...

I got a letter in the post last week, so I assume they were probably all sent out around the same time.

Re:

"Lea Halalela" - Keswa and Lebo M
"Believe" - Yellowcard
"Fields of Gold" - Eva Cassidy

I second "The Blood Donor" - very powerful.

Re:

I've been to Lanzarote every summer for the last 10 years or so, and in my opinion it's a great place to travel to! There's loads to see on the island: the volcano, caves, beaches, museums, wine routes, a gigantic market every Sunday, camel rides, watersports... It is a very touristy island and as a...

I'd have to say it's a toss up between Young Warlocks, which seemed to be an excuse for the director to film barechested teenage boys, and Shrunken Heads - I was expecting it to be bad but seriously...

Re:

Last year two of my friends lived in D12 and our group spent most of our time in there! It was a little irritating having to go in the back entrance all the time, but the room was much more spacious than anyone else's, the kitchen was rarely in use so we always had cooking space and it was generally...

Re:

Quoting pali from 23:15, 12th Jun 2005 when you say it's only an assessment three times a semester, what exactly do you mean? Basically three times a semester you're given written work which consists of translating sentences from Arabic to English, English to Arabic, some grammar questions and a sh...

Re:

I did beginners' Arabic, and I have to say that I loved it and am carrying it on next year, even though it was originally a gap filler! The work is quite hefty but really it's only an assessment 3 times a semester, and the department is brilliant. I completely and utterly recommend it!

Anything by John Grisham, especially "The Painted House". He is a brilliant author - he makes law fairly easy to understand!
