Re:

I was looking at this today. It probibly depends on the time you're traveling. Traveline Scotland ( http://www.travelinescotland.com ) thinks the best way is to change from bus to train at inverkething station, to get the train to Leuchars. I don't think that website knows about the airlink busses t...

Quoting from 16:52, 10th Aug 2008 What about Kinnesburn Road as it would be a likely victim.. I walked past there last night and it looked like there was a lot of mud on the road and bridge suggesting that the water got that high. At 5pm yesterday it was still quite high, perhaps 2 or 3 feet away f...

It's worth noting that the Union still lets you in even though you can't drink (and they'll notice when you come in that you're not old enough to drink - your date of birth is on your matriculation card). You could try to get served alcohol, but you have to think if it's worth the ban from the union...

Linux on resnet

Hi all, I've tried a couple of different distros and both KDE and gnome, but i can't get linux to work on resnet! Any suggestions? I'm sure I've had it working in previous years (would have been 3 or 4 years ago now) but the registration procedure has changed this year, so I wonder if that's made it...

Re:

The adapter with your laptop tells you how much current it draws as a maximum. Mine says 1.5A, but that's for 100-240V, so I'd think it'd be significantly less (as the voltage is 230V here), perhaps less than 0.7A. That would still be a maximum though, so CD playing, lots of processor and fan use, f...

And as for the question 'What is love?' it astounds me that people continue to ask this, when for the past 400 years we have had Sonnet 116 to answer the question for us.

from http://www.escapetotranquillity.com/conference.asp?ID=9 The hall is 20 x 20m, giving our largest flat floor area of 400 sq. m. but it normally has a three metre wide section on the left side occupied by a raised, informal seating area and a similar section, not raised, which is four metres wide...

I doubt this will help, but see if you can borrow a keyboard from someone and see if that makes it work. I don't know why it would, but 6 beeps could be a keyboard chip error. Sorry I can't be more help, hopefully someone here will be!

Good Luck!

How many beeps? and are they long or short beeps? that can help to find out what the problem is because the computer uses that to say something's wrong before its got round to displaying stuff to screen.
