Re: Cambridge Schools in Scotland: Call for Judges.

Hi All, First off, thanks so very much for volunteering to go to Edinburgh and Dundee this weekend; I really don't know what we would have done without volunteers from St Andrews. Also, I wanted to apologise for the logistical problems today. We did a very poor job of communicating and organising; I...

Re: Alumni Newsletter

Can I just give a quick word of thanks to those who sent me a very thoughtful alumni newsletter. It was witty, informative, and even had a termcard.

Well done to the Board (esp. Claire) for putting that together.

Cheers,

Quoting ChrisH from 23:21, 27th Jun 2008 Jess and I (St Andrews B) came joint 17th on tab, along with a Cambridge team, 6 points off the break. So while sad we didn't make it, we're thrilled to have done so well. Indeed, a great show from Chris and Jess- hard luck that only a few speaks kept them f...

From a blogger at Euros: "I’m sure there were memorable quotes from many of the rooms today but my favourite two both came from St Andrews in my first round. The best source of up-to-the-minute information on the tournament appears to be: http://www.yourgermancorrespondent.blogspot.com/ Which many of you may remember from blogging the Koc adventures last year. Naturally, however, it doesn't give an update on our champions. Motions Thusfar (general gist, ...

Re:

Quoting Kizzy from 11:20, 7th May 2008 Jason, I can promise you, that if you run anything like that, and I'm judging you, Bad Things will happen. I don't know what they'll be yet, but I'll take between now and Durham to plan them, and update threats as necessary! In fairness the 'whaling permits' m...

Four Nations: Judging Opportunity

There's a schools tournament in Dundee this weekend for the national schools teams of Wales, Scotland, England, and Ireland. It's quite a big deal, involving lots of dinners and things with the Lord Provost, and such. Irene McGrath from High School of Dundee has asked if we could supply two judges; ...

Re:

As for the results of the Balaka: Diarmuid won and Neill Harvey-Smith took second. If someone has a full tab with speaks broken down by round I'd be very curious (particularly to see what the judges made of the 'opt-out anarchy' v. 'government-sponsored anarchy' debate of round two). More importantl...
